20h30-21h: Testing for infections & sepsis: about cultures, biomarkers and more (Cecile Meex, Liege)

21h-21h30: POCT anno 2025: advantages, pitfalls and biases - the impact of HEMOLYSIS (Pieter Vermeersch, Leuven)

Luis is an international renowned speaker and first author of the recently published joint EUSEM-EFLM recommendations on blood sampling. Pieter also participated in these guidelines as a clinical biologist. He is professor at UZ Leuven and responsible for diagnostic testing. Cecile is clinical biologist in Liege and participated in the drafting of the Belgian National Sepsis Plan Be-SNAP.
